How To Get Through The Day

Life can be hard, that includes school and work. Not only do you have to deal with the pressures of everyday life, but also all the work that you have to put up with from school or work. To get through a day and be somewhat excited about the next, I believe you have to be confident, optimistic, and independent. Hayley did a post on Confidence so check that out here. Here's some tips on how to get through the day.

Wake up optimistic.
Thing about all the good things that could happen today, even the small things. If you have a good lunch, or your excited to talk to someone, those are all good things that could happen that day. Don't focus on the bad. Better yet, try to be the person that someone else looks forward to seeing that day. Share the optimism.

Focus.

If you're at school or work, distractions always come up. You just have to concentrate on what you are there for. Yes, going to work or school is way better with friends, but the real reason you're there is to learn or get things done. In order to do that, you need to focus. Trust me, there are huge benefits to doing your work. Only you can make what your doing not fun.

Do something that makes you happy.

For me, swimming would be my go-to. Find something that you enjoy doing and make that one of the best parts of your day. Having a hobby or sport will keep you busy so your not sitting on your butt all day and you will like doing it.

Relax.

Take a warm shower or bath, add a bath bomb, or use a facemask. Whatever makes you calm and relaxed is best. I love taking baths especially when I use a bath bomb. I really like getting bath bombs from LUSH. They also have fun bubble bars and facemasks that are great for your skin! My favorite bath bomb is Intergalactica, it is really cool and relaxing. My favorite facemask is the Honey Brazened, it is really great and replenishing for my skin.

Treat your skin.

Make it a routine that you wash your face twice a day, morning and night. If you use a good cleanser, you will see huge improvement in your complexion. Personally, having clearer skin does make me more confident. In the mornings I always use a toner right after I wash my face. Then in the morning and at night I always moisturize. Tip: If you decide to wear a lot of makeup some days, I would try to wear it for as short as possible. For me, I take my makeup off right after school. It will let your skin breath and will unblock your pores, letting you have healthier skin.:)

Get some fresh air.

Go for a walk, jog, hike, or run. It's really refreshing to just get a breath of fresh air. Go to a local park and walk some trails, maybe even jog. It's good for your body and mind.
